Nothing Hill Carnival 50

Celebrating the Carnival’s establishment and ongoing development; Caribbean Culture; artistic talents and creativity; enhancement of community spirit and innovative platforms embracing cultural diversity.
The Notting Hill Carnival is the largest street festival in Europe and originated in 1964 as a way for Afro-Caribbean communities to celebrate their own cultures and traditions. Taking place every August Bank Holiday weekend in the streets of London W11, the Notting Hill Carnival is an amazing array of sounds, colourful sights and social solidarity.

The Notting Hill Carnival is Europe’s biggest street festivity and the world’s second biggest.
The event was also part of activities of showcasing Africa’s rich cultural heritage to the global community. The carnival, a vivid spectacle representing London’s multicultural past and present, saw people from across the United Kingdom!

This is amazing, you can see metropolitan police men having a field day. What a fun!
